Richard George Dacko Jr's Obituary
Richard George “Rick” Dacko Jr., 49, of Rocky River, Ohio, passed away at home on April 26, 2026. Born on January 15, 1977, Rick was the beloved son of Nancy and Richard Dacko Sr., and a cherished member of a large, close-knit family.
Rick built a long and respected career as a CPA, sharing his talents with both the Cleveland Clinic and McManus Dosen. His colleagues knew him as dedicated, steady, and unfailingly kind—qualities that defined him in every part of his life.
From a young age, Rick showed remarkable discipline and determination, earning a black belt in karate. He carried that same quiet strength into adulthood. He had a deep love of the band U2 and the movie Scarface, and he loved going to concerts where he could experience that music live and share the excitement with others.
Some of his happiest moments were spent simply being with family—hanging out with his dad, cousins, aunts, and uncles, laughing, talking, and enjoying the comfort of being together.
Rick will be remembered as a gentle soul with a generous heart, someone who loved life and made the world softer for the people who knew him. His presence was a gift, and his absence will be felt deeply.
He is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and Theresa (Tmac, the love of his life), all of whom will carry his memory forward with affection and gratitude.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
