Richard E. DeVries' Obituary
Richard E. DeVries, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Sophia (nee Vanderzyden) DeVries.
Beloved husband of Georgian (nee Mathies) for 66 years; loving father to Richard (Andrea), James (Pam), Jeffrey (Kelly) and David (Julie); dear brother to Thomas DeVries and the late Joanne DeVries; proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
VISITATION will take place on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, from 5-7 PM. Private interment in Sunset Memorial Park. MEMORIAL SERVICE to follow at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 30, at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Rd, Bay Village.
In lieu of flowers, Richard’s family suggests donations be made to the Bridge Avenue School, 5412 Franklin Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44102; or to the Youth Ministries at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140.
