Dear Jane,
I have not seen you and Dick for years, but noticed his passing in the Plain Dealer. An accomplished person who lived a long life. To have been on the Colgate football team in those days was very significant. I remember that team winding some Ivy Leage clocks! As a neurologist and member of Aesculapien and Innominatum, I remember Dick well. He was always cheerful, quick, and fun to be with. I always looked forward to seeing you both at those times parties that were so much fun. A bygone era unfortunately. Dick certainly had a wonderful time in life and was so vibrant. I wish you well and the best from me and from Susie.

Dear Jane and family,
My deepest condolence at the passing of such a great man. Most people probably don't know of his volunteering at Church Street Ministries, Second Mile Shop. Dick never used the word, "why." He merely jumped in and gave it his all. I reveled in his ability to share anecdotes, particularly those with "surprise" finishes! I especially admired his logic and common sense. Quite aware of his education, profession and being so well-read, I never knew him to even come close in condescension toward anything or anyone. The man was love. Though we mourn, we must be grateful for his presence all those years.
I am so very proud to have had the pleasure of his company and am certain he's enjoying his new recliner 'Up There."

The first time I really got to know Dick was when we worked together on the committee to write the new charters for our newly formed church - Christ United. He was a signficiant contributor and ask great questions. He had a mind for details and a heart for making sure that all people were treated fairly. Most of all, I enjoyed some private meetings at his home where I could benefit from the beautiful pictures that he had taken throughout his life. He will be missed by a great number of people. However, now he can take pictures from a very high view.
