Richard Warren Eldermire's Obituary
Richard Warren Eldermire, 76, of Berea, passed away September 15, 2018.
Beloved husband of Sally (Russell); loving father of Elisa (Jeff) Moore and Charles “Rusty” (Erin) Eldermire; and dear grandfather of Emilee Moore, Wyatt and Lucy Eldermire.
Born in New York City on September 30, 1941 to Armin and Elisa (Forlini) Eldermire, and he grew up on Long Island. Attended Baldwin Wallace College and graduated with a Bachelor’s in History in 1965. He earned his Master’s in History from Cleveland State University. Richard taught and coached at Strongsville Schools from 1965-1975 and at Parma City Schools, at Normandy High School from 1975-2003. He was passionate about teaching and coaching sports and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Richard’s place of rest will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to Berea Animal Rescue Fund, P.O. Box 544, Berea, OH 44017; and to Hospice Services of Southwest General,18697 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130-3497.
