Richard Harris' Obituary
Richard L. Harris, 90, of Medina, Ohio passed away on January 17, 2021. He was born on December 10, 1930 in Dorothy, West Virginia to the late Robert Emmett Harris and Hazel Wood Kuhn. Richard proudly served in US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from General Motors. His strong Christian faith led him to serve as the Sunday school superintendent for the Cleveland Baptist Church for many years. He will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring Godly man to those who knew him best. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Santo) Harris of 55 years; loving father of Denise (Dan) Wolvin, Lisa Ann Harris, and Julie (Scott) Dressler; cherished grandfather of Stephen (Melissa) Wolvin, Benjamin Wolvin, Nicholas Wolvin, Ryan Maher, Joshua (Hannah) Maher, Katelyn (Greg) Hosford, Rachel (James) Mallery, Jacob (fiancé Kayla Girolamo) Dressler and Jared Dressler; treasured great-grandfather of Aidan, Cadence, Harry, Aria, Libby, Michael, Penny, Casey, Micaiah, and Baby Dressler 2021; and dear brother of Hazel Jean (Crawford) Watson, and Mary Jill (Robert – deceased) Adams. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to Cleveland Baptist Church, 4431 Tiedeman Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44144. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 4-8 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 AM at Westwood Abbey, Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44144.
