Richard Janda's Obituary
Richard Janda, 77, of Euclid, Ohio, passed away on May 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his spouse, Linda; his children, Jenny (Matt), and Jackie (Geoff), and James (Keri), Michael (Althea) and Tracy (Steve) from his former marriage to the late Marci; his grandchildren, Gillian, Rowan, Alex, and Madelyn; and his sisters, Rosemary (Richard) and Sue (Denny), along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert (Mary) and Nancy (Bob).
Rich served honorably in the U.S. military and retired after 30 years with Ohio Bell/Ameritech. He formed lifelong friendships through more than three decades in Alcoholics Anonymous. In his later years, he enjoyed fishing, horse races, playing cards, and spending quiet days with his beloved cat, Inky.
A memorial gathering to honor his life will be held on June 14, 2025, from 12:00-2:00pm followed by a graveside military honor at Sunset Memorial Park at 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted, Ohio. Please meet at Sunset Chapel to proceed to the graveside service. Friends and family are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
