Richard A. Kountz's Obituary
Richard A. Kountz, age 90, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on February 5, 2024. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years Rita A. (nee Padgett) Kountz on January 6, 2023.
Richard was born July 28, 1933 in Huntington, WV to the late Henry and Pauline (nee Farmer) Kountz. He was a proud Navy Veteran and owner/operator of Counts Container Corp for many years.
Loving father to Roby (Cindy) Kountz and Danise (deceased) (Tony) Bognar; stepfather to Steven (Christine) Kirkby, Kevin (Kathleen) Kirkby and Jeffrey Kirkby. Dear grandfather to Danielle, Nicole (Nick), Jenny (Pat), Jessie (Mark), Todd (Tia) and Tony (David Bruening); great-grandfather to Emma, Ella, Lilly, Hunter, and Aria; and great-great grandfather to Jayden, Peyton and Briella.
Family will receive friends at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, from 10:00am-12:00pm, Monday, February 12, 2024, with service beginning at 12:00pm. Committal service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park with military honors.
