Richard A. Whitmore, 79, of North Olmsted, passed away November 30, 2015.
Beloved husband of June (nee McCord); dear father of Dawn Nilsson (Dale Lind) and Dr. Mark Whitmore (Debbie Rech-Whitmore, deceased); cherished grandfather of Justin, Brandon, April and Kaj Nilsson and Matthew, Max, Tyler, and Trevor Whitmore; loving brother of the late Robert and Sally (Fred) Pike. He was the Director of Music at Rocky River United Methodist Church for 48 years, retiring in 2014 and also retired from North Olmsted High School as their music and choir teacher in 1987. Member of the West Shore Chorale in Rocky River.
Memorial service Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11AM at Rocky River United Methodist Church, 19414 Detroit Rd., Rocky River 44116. Graveside service will follow on Monday, December 28th at 2:30PM at Sunset Memorial Park (Please meet at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted for 2:15PM).
