Rita Slimak's Obituary
Rita M. Slimak, 88, of North Ridgeville, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was born on October 21, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Salvatore and Mary (nee Lenzo) Adornetto. Rita will be fondly remembered for her talent as a baker and cook. She left the world a little brighter with her beautiful floral arrangements and instilled wisdom in her beautiful grandchildren with her loving commands. She will be missed by those who loved her best.
Beloved husband of James Slimak of 64 wonderful years; loving mother of Stephan (Sue), James, and Mariana Slimak; cherished grandmother of Jayson, Brittany (Colton), Josh, Jacob, Andrew, Ashley, Logan, and Donavan; treasured great-grandmother and bestie of Kinsley; dear sister of John, Anthony, William, Raymond, and Josephine Adornetto and Rose Contrera (all deceased); and sister-in-law of Sue Adornetto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 3-7 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Clarence Catholic Church, 30106 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. The family kindly asks to consider wearing masks to services. She will be privately laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery.
