Robert F. Stephens' Obituary
Robert F. Stephens, 63, of Olmsted Township, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 29, 2015.
Robert was born on May 24, 1952 to the late John and Nancy Stephens. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Stephens, for 32 years; daughters Kimberly Watson and Amy Stephens; adoring granddaughters Madison, Olivia and Sophia. Brother of Deborah Hebebrand (Bill), Laurie Mendise; Robert will also be missed by step mother Florence Stephens, step-brother Christian (Debra) Hayes and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a quiet, generous man who will be greatly missed. He loved fishing, and boating and racing cars. He owned his commercial roofing business for many years and was proud of the work he did for Marc’s, BP, especially the old Cleveland Stadium. He enjoyed hobbies such as racing – both circle track and drag racing, and shared that love with Sue and their daughters even after his quadriplegic injury left him wheelchair bound. In recent years, Robert loved to watch shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Cash Explosion and Walker, Texas Ranger. The love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren, will never be forgotten and will continue to live on through his memory.
Private services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Friday evening, at 5 PM, at St. Mary of the Falls, 25615 Bagley Rd., Olmsted Falls, OH 44138. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Prayers from Maria at prayersfrommaria.org
