Robert " Big Bob" Thomas' Obituary
Robert Thomas, 54, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024. He was born on July 10, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late French D. Thomas and Mary Lou (nee Kagle) Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Tayse, his daughter, Tanya Nicole Thomas, his sons, Jonathon, and Bruce Ziolek, his brothers, John (Holly) Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Donald Valentine, and Scott Stein. Sister Brenda Quintana who proceeded him in death. Grandchildren, Bruce, Logan, and Marceline. Bob was a wonderful uncle and cousin to many.
Robert, or Big Bob as he was affectionately known, worked for Pepsi for over 37 years. He was the boss and drove the tow motor. He was a proud member of the Teamsters union. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, always spending time outdoors. He had a deep love for muscle cars and took his daughter to car shows. According to Bob there was not any football team greater than the Pittsburgh Steelers!
He was a kind, generous, and fun-loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends may gather Saturday January 20, 2024, to celebrate “Big Bob” beginning at 12:00pm at Sunset funeral home 6245 Columbia Road N. Olmsted, Ohio 44070 until 3:30pm. A memorial service to celebrate Bobs life will begin at 4:00pm immediately following the visitation.
