Robert N. Volk's Obituary
VOLK ROBERT N. VOLK, 91, a lifelong Cleveland resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was born in 1924 in Cleveland and graduated from J.F. Rhodes High School. He received a degree in Civil Engineering from the Case Institute of Technology and worked for many years as a Civil Engineer in Cleveland at Dalton-Dalton, and as the City Airport Engineer at Cleveland Hopkins Intl. Airport. Bob also served his country as a U.S. Navy Lt. during World War II. In 1947 he married Rosemary A. Kubick, in Cleveland, and enjoyed his life together with her until her passing in 1985. He is survived by his children, Robilynn Farren (John) of FL, Robert Volk (Jim) of Cleveland, Randy Volk (Pat) of Cleveland, Ron Volk of TX, and Russell Volk of Cleveland, his seven grandchildren, and his five great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Rosemary, Bob was preceded in death by his sister Sandy Matuson. Although flowers are appreciated, the family prefers memorial contributions be forwarded to the American Cancer Society , 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106. The family will receive friends at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE RD., PARMA, FROM 2-6 P.M. ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25. Private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, N. Olmsted. 440-842-7800
