Robert L Watson's Obituary
Robert L. Watson of Strongsville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he attended public school in Fairview Park. He received a bachelors degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. He also held degrees from Yale University Divinity School and Vanderbilt University.
For twenty-three years, he taught in the Religion Department at Hiram College. He was dean and vice president of academic affairs at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri and Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maggie; sons David (wife Natalie) of Chelsea, Michigan and Timothy (wife Rebekah) of Strongsville, Ohio. He was predeceased by his son John. He is also survived by grandchildren Joshua (wife Kristyn) of Mentor, Ohio; Jonathan (wife Sarah) of Valparaiso, Indiana; Jiordanne Kaine of Lakewood, Ohio and Mackenzie Kaine of Strongsville, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at Middleburg Heights Community United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
