Robert J. Wilmink, 85, of North Olmsted, passed away February 23, 2015.
Treasured husband of Roberta (nee Sabol-Chapin); loving father of Theodore (Cathy Fiosello), Charles, and Eric (Jean); dear brother of Donald (Trudy); adoring grandfather of Robert Wilmink (Kathleen) and Jessica Wilmink; proud great-grandfather of Easton and Chase. Loving step-father of Robert D. Annandale, Michelle Gawor (Joseph), Jeffrey Annandale (M.A.), Libby Chapin (Christopher Eddy), Laura Chapin (Luke Carnes) and George Chapin (Stacey Mesa); step-grandfather of Larisa Funk (Matt), Elise Wilson (Mike), Jason Gawor, Debbie Annandale (Jameson), Leslie Porter (Travis), Judy Chapin, Joseph Laing, C. Blake Eddy, Bridgette Eddy, and Jess Chapin; great-grandgunka of nine.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Wilmink, wife Mary C. Wilmink (Nan), and his brother and sister-in-law Edward and Rose Wilmink.
Talented carpenter, avid golfer, master pinochle player and loved sports of all kind. Member of the Ohio Carpenters’ Union, 1949 graduate of Olmsted Falls High School. His character was beyond reproach and his kindness incomparable. A truly “good man” who will be missed dearly by all who were privileged enough to know him.
