I will miss Berta. She was a smiling, sweet dynamo, always kind, always helpful. My sympathy to all who loved her.
We are saddened to share the unfortunate passing of our beloved Berta. She was a mother, mentor, confidant, grandma, wife, a shoulder to lean on and so much more. Words can’t express how much she meant to us. She’s been Jan’s right hand woman for over 30 years. Jan can recall the early moments of Berta at Pins, holding Connor as she finished a sew and even helping cut her hair when she couldn’t step away from the store. Pins and Needles wouldn’t be what it was without the helping hand of Berta. She was known around here as the “hostess with the mostest”, often running circles around us all to get things done. Her jokes still have us laughing today, her spirit will be kept and honored here forever. Our kitchen is a little quieter today and our hearts are a little more empty. The memory of Berta will live on through every event and every stitch. She may be gone, but never forgotten. May you Rest In Peace Berta, for you were so loved.
