Roger Early Caster's Obituary
Roger E. Caster, 63, of Cleveland, passed away June 27, 2018.
He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late Earl and Madge (nee Nupp) Caster. Roger is the loving father of Jessica Leiby (Alan Beck); cherished grandfather of Erica Dawn Leiby, Gavin David William Beck and Cameron Alan Early Beck; dear brother of Sharon (Elmer, deceased) Greathouse, Betty (Clarence) Nagy, Earl (Kathy) Caster Jr., Richard Caster and the late Linda Harragucci and Carolyn (Al) Foster; adored uncle of many; loving companion of Debra Zavodny; best friend and “brother” of the late Giovanni “John” Vespoli.
He retired as a Lathologist with Carpenter’s Local 435. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending his free time on Lake Erie whether it be fishing or camping or enjoying his property at Geneva-On-The-Lake. A nurturer, he had a green thumb that could revive a plant the rest of us would consider a loss. Passionate about music, his genre ranged from The Marshall Tucker Band to Lynyrd Skynyrd to The Beatles. A caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, he will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor and for always being there when needed.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 6PM at the Sunset Chapel in Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
