Roger H. Hoskin's Obituary
Roger Hoskin, age 78 of Olmsted Twp., passed away July 20, 2020. Beloved husband of 56 years to Janet (nee Pesch); loving father of Jeffrey, Margaret (John) Richardson, and Elizabeth Guildoo; cherished grandfather of Paul Richardson, Audrey Guildoo, Colin Guildoo, and Abigail Guildoo; devoted brother of twin sister Rosamond Pesch. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles “Skip” Hoskin and sister Ruth Herr.
Family vacations were always life’s highlights for Roger. Countless trips to Manitoulin Island in Canada have created cherished memories for family, friends, and anyone who was fortunate to travel with him to his favorite place on earth.
As a proud grandfather, his favorite things to do were to listen to Audrey sing in church, watch Paul make Lego creations, attend Colin’s plays and get hugs from Abigail when she got home from school. He was a long-time member of Olmsted Community Church, Stephens Ministries, Kiwanis and Rotary Club.
There are so many memories to share, but none more important than through good times and bad, Roger's uplifting smile, unwavering kindness, and joy-filled laugh were always there to remind us that there was nothing more important than family and friends.
"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. This beatitude sums up my feelings of your father, never was there a kinder, more gentle person as Roger. I will dearly miss him. "- Scott Pritchard
Any donations can be made in his name to Olmsted Community Church in Olmsted Falls, 7853 Main St. Olmsted Falls, OH 44138.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
