Roger Alan Wertman's Obituary
Roger Alan Wertman, 83, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on June 4th, 2026, at Fairview Hospital.
If you had a question, Roger had the answer.
He had lifelong passions for music, electronics, photography, computers, the stock market and tinkering with machines of all types.
Being a stellar Customer Engineer at Xerox for 23 years until his retirement, was a deep source of satisfaction and pride for Roger.
He was a man who simply knew something about everything and who loved nothing more than sharing his knowledge and wisdom with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as a devoted Husband, Father and friend, a guiding light, and the smartest man we ever knew.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie Wertman; his cherished children, Bradley A. Wertman (Julia Kitsko) and Debra Taylor (John Zidan). Roger was the beloved son of the late Mary L. and Donald D. Wertman and dear brother of the late Beverly K. Shoemaker.
A private service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roger’s honor to the Cleveland Animal Protective League or the American Heart Association.
