Ben was my hero. A scholar, a warrior, a leader and a man with a deep soul and conscience who made our world so much better by living in it. I will miss him so. We have created THE BEN GRAY '73 SCHOLARSHIP FUND at Kenyon College, and donations can be made at www.kenyon.edu.

Ben and I were classmates in the class of 1973 at Kenyon. But I really got to know him later when we worked together as class agents. Ben's quiet tenacity and sense of humor endeared him to me. I always felt that Ben was the kind of man I would like to have had for a brother. I am honored to have known and worked with Ben.

To Ben's family, my deepest condolences in your time of loss. I knew Ben as a colleague and served as his mediator on numerous occasions and always admired how he was able to elevate the content and spirit of his advocacy through his keenly humanitarian perspective.
