Ronald Michael McKinley's Obituary
Ronald M. McKinley, age 95, of North Olmsted, Ohio, passed away on December 7, 2025.
Ron was born in Evanston, Illinois, on March 30, 1930, to the late Lyle and Veronica McKinley. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to Elaine (née Hollenhorst) McKinley, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
He is survived by his children John (Donna) McKinley, James (Patti) McKinley, Jeanne (Dirk) Meyer, Robert (Jane) McKinley, and Thomas (Shawn-deceased) McKinley. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew (Jessie) McKinley, Michelle (Zachary) Fortunato, Michael (Hannah) McKinley, Mark (Madison) McKinley, Kaitlyn (Hayden) Dobbins, Kellie McKinley, Erin Meyers, Christine Meyers, Lisa Meyers, Stephen (Katie) McKinley, Louis (Jackie) Antonelli, Megan (Brandon) Barnes, Jimmy Antonelli, John Antonelli, Ian (Abby) Betts, Colin McKinley, and Shannon McKinley. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jacob McKinley, Isaac McKinley, Rowan Fortunato, Myles McKinley, Ava McKinley, Emma McKinley, Leo Antonelli, and Harper McKinley.
Ron is also survived by his brother James McKinley and former sister-in-law Barb McKinley. He was preceded in death by his brothers Gordon (Renee) McKinley and Jack (Joan) McKinley.
Ron enjoyed fishing with his wife in Port Clinton, Ohio, where they kept a boat and spent many happy days together on the water. Ron was a proud graduate of Michigan State University graduating with his bachelor's degree in industrial relations. He had a long and distinguished career as Vice President of Employee Relations in the painting industry. Above all, Ron was dedicated to his family. He loved his grandchildren deeply and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
