Ronald J. Weppelman's Obituary
Ronald J. Weppelman, age 58 of Berea, passed away December 25, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born November 28, 1964 in Bay Village, Ohio, the youngest son of the late Joseph George and Edna Mae Weppelman.
Ron was an honorable man who made inexhaustible efforts to care for those around him, working endless hours in a steel mill to make sure his large family had what they needed. When faced with a challenge, he said “I will take care of you. That’s my job. That’s what I do.” Ron was also a word aficionado. He loved word games and playing with him meant one goal—try to win—though we almost never did. He loved parties, was the king of the BBQ and as the first baseman for his softball team, could do an impressive split. We will proudly wear his number: 25. Ron was a teddy bear of epic proportions. He had the ability to wrap you up in a hug so tight you weren’t sure if you might lose consciousness in there—but it was always love. Ron will be deeply missed; his impact on our lives is invaluable.
Ronald was called My Love by Martie Davis; he was Dad to Brenda Stulic, Joshua (Debbie) Weppelman, Jeremiah Weppelman, Saralyn (Todd) Markowski and Jared (Ellen) Weppelman; he was Papa to Laura Stulic, Jacob (Amie) Stulic, Jesse Knight, Joseph Weppelman, Lily Weppelman, Wren Weppelman and Isabelle Gilham, as well as Great Grandpa to Jack Stulic; he was the brother of Joseph (Sue) Weppelman, Alice Weppelman, Clayton Weppelman and Joyce Irvine; also he was the uncle to many nieces and nephews and friend to so, so many.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother-in-law and sister, Clifford & Linda Honeycutt and brother-in-law Donald Irvine.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
