Rosa Waddell's Obituary
Rosa "Rosie" Darlene Waddell, 67 of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at The Cleveland Clinic with family by her side. Rosa’s dad, Darl Boyles, wrote a song about Rosa. It was called “My Little Rosa” and her sister, Carol Yuras, sang it to her at the Cleveland Clinic at her bedside before passing. She was born February 2, 1956, in Philippi, WV.
Rosa is the daughter of the late Darl Wilbert and Carrie Elizabeth Boyles. She is survived by her husband, Toney Waddell, who she enjoyed FIFTY wonderful years of marriage with; two sisters, Ethel Zucco of Mineral Ridge and Carol Yuras, of Cleveland; three sister-in-laws, Candy Boyles and Dorothy Boyles from Parkersburg, WV and Debbie Waddell from Lexington, Alabama.
She was loved by everyone, and her generous, caring, and loving personality was transparent to everyone. She worked for Torr Metal for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed going to casinos with her husband, listening to gospel music, playing bingo, and lottery scratch offs. Most of all, Rosie loved spending time with her family and friends.
She has several nieces and nephews that she loved like they were her own children. No words can express how deeply we will all miss her. May God Bless you, Aunt Rosie, and keep you safe in heaven, until we’re reunited in his name.
In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by five siblings, Valvie Boyles, Denzil Boyles, Darl Boyles Jr, Robert Boyles and Herbert Boyles.
Family and friends may call from 12:00Noon to 2:00PM on Tuesday December 5, 2023, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00PM. She will be laid to rest in Section 36, at Sunset Cemetery, North Olmsted.
