Russell E. Morgan's Obituary
Russell E. Morgan, 79, of North Royalton, unexpectedly passed away on February 9, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL.
He was born in Uniontown, PA, the son of the late Edward C. and Mildred Teets Morgan. Russell was the beloved husband of the late Ida (nee LaPonza); loving father of Russell E. (Marsha), Matthew (Michelle) and Christopher; cherished grandfather of Katie, Brandon, Emma, Andrew and Aaron; dear brother of Beverly (Calvin, deceased) Butler, Gary (Penny) Morgan and the late Wayne Morgan, Dennis Morgan and Donna (Dallas) Chaney; loving companion of his first wife and mother of his sons, Barbara-Jo Morgan (nee Anthony); adored uncle of many. Russell was enlisted in the US Navy and honorably discharged in 1958. He was a Bank Manager with Cleveland Trust and Ameritrust for over 20 years. Following retirement, he enjoyed travelling all over the continental US and to Hawaii and Italy. Russell has been wintering in Florida for the past 4 years in different areas. A sports fan of all Ohio teams, he mostly enjoyed the Indians and the Browns.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10AM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. Committal services will follow at the Abbey Cremation Trail at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
