Ruth M. Hetrick's Obituary
Ruth M. Hetrick, 93, of Aurora passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2020. Ruth is preceded in death by her two sons Jack Hetrick who passed away in 2011 and Ralph Shields who passed away in 2019; and her husband of over 30 years George Held. Ruth is survived by her sons Donald (Cheryl) Shields and Gerald ‘Jerry’ (late Kim) Shields; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan, and Nascar’s Jeff Gordan fan when he raced. Ruth and George had spent a lot of time camping in Seville at their favorite grounds in the summer and would even travel down to Florida to camp in the winter and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians’ spring training when they could. Ruth lived a simple life and really adored spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
A private committal ceremony will take place at Sunset Memorial Park located 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070.
