Ruth F. Shepard's Obituary
Ruth F. Shepard (nee Yurkschatt), 81, of Strongsville, passed away May 23, 2017.
She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late John and Minnie Yurkschatt. Ruth is the beloved wife of 59 years to Lynn; loving mother of Jeff (Julie), Scott, and Karen (Timothy, deceased) Turner; cherished grandmother of Jayden, Nathan (Stephanie Graves), Andrew, and Kimberly Shepard and Jarrod (Courtney), Bryan (Samantha) and Brad (Heather) Turner; adored great-grandmother of Christian and Ava Shepard, Evelynn and Adelynn Turner and Sophia and Jaxon Turner; dear sister of John (Carol) Yurkschatt and the late Hattie (Hank) Dreis, Leonard (Kate) Yurkschatt, Evelyn (Adie) Peters and Wilma (Elmer) Witt; adored aunt of many. Ruth was a member of Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church in North Royalton and taught elementary school for many years in Berea city schools.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 7:30PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where the family will receive friends on Friday from 4PM until the time of service.
