Samuel Allen Schiller's Obituary
Samuel Allen Schiller, age 81, passed away on November 11, 2025. He was born on February 24, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Samuel was the beloved husband of Laura Schiller (née Hodgson), with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Jennifer, cherished grandfather to Kaley; loving brother to Sandra (Earl); uncle to Richard (Kristin); and great-uncle to Autumn and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel
and Helen Schiller; and his half-sister, Julie.
A retired architect, Samuel served as Building Commissioner for Berea and Strongsville, Ohio, dedicating over 30 years to shaping and improving his community. His passion for design and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on countless projects.
Samuel loved football—especially cheering for the Cleveland Browns—and enjoyed traveling around the world during his college years. He was actively involved with United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland, demonstrating his determination and strong will throughout his life. Known for his leadership and unwavering standards, Samuel was admired for always striving to do things his way.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on November 16, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, 44070, with service immediately following at 2pm in the chapel.
A private interment will be held at a later date at Sunset MemorialPark.
