Sandra A. Gulliford's Obituary
Sandra A. Gulliford, 86, longtime resident of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2026. Born on January 15, 1940, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ann and William Kaufmann. Sandra’s life was shaped by deep family bonds, a generous spirit, and a love of simple joys that she shared freely with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gulliford, with whom she built a life filled with devotion and partnership. Together, they raised two children, Allen Gulliford and Tina (Paul) Garsky, who were the pride of her life. Sandra was a cherished grandmother to Jennifer (Christopher) Adkins, Jeffrey (Lyndsay VanderWeel) Garsky, and Sarah Gulliford, and a delighted great grandmother to Joshua, Olivia, Mason, and Avery, each of whom brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sister Carol Love, and was preceded in death by her siblings Richard Kaufmann and Rosemary Flachbart.
A woman of many talents, Sandra found joy in the art of needlework—cross stitching, sewing, and quilting were among her favorite pastimes, and her creations often became treasured gifts for family and friends. She loved playing cards, tending to her garden, and staying active in her community. Sandra gave generously of her time, volunteering at voting booths and participating in activities at the North Ridgeville Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the spirit of the community she loved.
Sandra will be remembered for her gentle heart, her steady presence, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her family and friends will carry her memory forward with gratitude for the many ways she enriched their lives.
