When Scott and I worked together in the Emergency Department he was such a hardworking, sincere friend. He would be the one person you know would be willing to go the extra mile if you needed someone. I’ll always remember his kind heart.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Scott. We have shared our travel experiences with each other for years, and have missed each other on vacations, by days sometimes, when we were going to be in the same place, but our schedules didn't match up.
Finally got to meet up this summer when he came to Oklahoma for the first time. Took him to the zoo and out to eat in Bricktown, and then he drove out to Western Oklahoma, where I live, and explored the National Route 66 Museum, and stopped by my place before he headed out of town to get back to OKC to catch his flight back home. He told me later when he got back home, that he loved Oklahoma, and was thinking about retiring here, instead of all the many other options that he had in mind.
We had talked about renting an RV and taking an epic round-trip up to Yellowstone National Park sometime in the future. It was on both of our bucket lists.
Loved seeing all his pictures of all the places he traveled to, and lived through him vicariously, when I was stuck working and couldn't get away.
I'll miss you buddy.
Scottie, Mommy loves you and misses you so much. Everyone won't stop asking me, WHY? Trust me, if I knew why there would be no why because you'd still be here with us. Together we could have fixed anything. Be at rest my baby boy I know you are with your Ginn Ginn and Papa and he's holding you in his arms again keeping you safe until we see each other again.
