It’s true that to know Scott was to love him. I was fortunate enough to have gotten to see him be successful in treating his heel injury. We were a team. He trusted me and that’s eas no easy accomplishment. One day he quietly asked me if I would be friends with his mom. She doesn’t have a life other than caring for me he said. That’s who he was. Never centered on himself but genuinely concerned for the people he loved. He knew this day would come when he would leave her and wanted to know she had the support she was sure to need. He was after all, her son, her everything. Linda is my friend. I will remind her of the beautiful life she gave Scott. We’ll talk about him and say how much he is loved and missed. You were a good son, Scott.
