Sharon Lynn Sedelbauer Berghaus' Obituary
Sharon Lynne Sedelbauer Berghaus, 73, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2024. Born on March 26, 1951, to the late Rolland and Geraldine Sedelbauer, Sharon lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, David Kim Berghaus, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of over 52 years. High school sweethearts, Sharon and Kim married on April 15, 1972, and their love story has been an inspiration to many.
She is also survived by her loving son, Matthew (Lisa) Berghaus, and her cherished grandchildren, Nathan and Noah. Sharon’s family was her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her brother, Reed Sedelbauer.
Sharon was a beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. She and Kim were blessed with a wide circle of friends who enriched their lives over the years.
A dedicated volunteer, Sharon gave her time and energy to the VFW Post 7647 in North Olmsted, Ohio, and the Ohio Purple Hearts, where she worked tirelessly to support veterans. Her selflessness and compassion touched the lives of many, and her legacy of service will be remembered fondly.
Sharon’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and community will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Sharon’s family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Messiah Lutheran Church, 21485 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126 on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Her family will hold a private graveside service, and Sharon will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
