Sharon was a very active member of her community and church, and always took an interest in the people around her. After taking time off to lovingly dedicate her time and energy to raising her two children, she worked as a nurse at Cleveland Metropolitan Hospital until her retirement in 1999. She volunteered as a Stephen’s minister at Fairview hospital, was chair of the North Olmsted Friends of the Library, and served on the board at Concord Reserve in Westlake, where she later became a resident in their independent living facility. She was also a devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church for many years. In her later years, she established the Welcoming Committee at Concord Reserve and was well known for helping new residents feel welcome.
A service to honor Sharon will be held July 24, starting at 10:30 am at the chapel at Concord Reserve, 2116 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH 44145. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be sent in memory of Sharon to the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association, 3870 Linden Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116.
