Sharron "Sherry" Ann Moore's Obituary
Sharron “Sherry” Ann Moore, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, September 11, 2025. She was born October 26, 1944, in Oakland, California to Martin and Lura Zipp.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Royce; children, Tom (Katie) Moore, and Suzy (Tom) Andrews; grandchildren, Natalie, Jacob, Megan, and Sarah; brother, Marty (Kathie) Zipp.
Sherry met Royce on a blind date set up by a neighbor. Their first meeting was at a football game just before the national anthem, Royce turned to Sherry and asked if she was going to stand up and she replied, “I am standing!”. The two fell in love and got married on October 11, 1969, and shared 55 years of together.
Sherry and Royce loved to travel, they visited every state at least 3 times. Their favorite was their trip to Alaska. Visiting Alaska 4 times total, once on a cruise, the other times driving cross country from Ohio in their motorhome.
She was a homemaker and took great care of her family. She had the special skill of having each dish ready at the same time, so it was all warm. She was known among her family and friends for her spunky attitude and quick wit. You could never guess what she would say however you knew it would make you smile. She had a knack for sewing, making some clothes but her favorite to make were clothes for Barbies. Overall, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She cherished her grandchildren and would spend time with them whenever she had the chance.
Sherry will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.
