Shirley Elaine Meyers' Obituary
With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Shirley Elaine Meyers, age 85, on September 17, 2025. She was born on June 25, 1940, in Summerset, Pennsylvania to the late Harriet and Earl.
She was the devoted wife of 51 years to the late William Meyers, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring strength. Shirley was the mother of Rich Meyers, and the late Stacey Meyers and Greg Meyers, and the beloved mother-in-law of Tamara Meyers. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandson Billy and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Swindell, Ada Shaffer, Margaret Swindell, Doris Jackson, and Beulah Lape.
Shirley’s heart was always open. She made everyone feel welcomed and loved, whether they were family, a friend, or a stranger. Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life, and she lived it with grace and humility. She was a guiding light to many, offering comfort, wisdom, and a listening ear.
From 1992 to 2018, Shirley owned and operated Meadowbrook Farm, a beloved horse boarding stable that became a sanctuary of community, care, and connection. Her passion for the farm reflected her deep commitment to nurturing both people and animals, creating a space where friendships flourished and everyone felt at home.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Family and friends are invited to gather at 9:45 AM at the cemetery gate to process in together and honor Shirley’s life and legacy.
