Shirley M Schenkelberg's Obituary
Shirley M. Schenkelberg, 94, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. Born on October 8, 1930, to the late Martin and Rose Meder, Shirley lived a life full of love, faith, and dedication to her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda, Gary, Greg (Patty), Larry, Jim (Leslie), and Ken (Jean). Shirley was a proud grandmother to Haley, Nichole, Sarah, Frank, John, Kristen, Grace, Felicia, and Corey, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jeanne.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John; siblings, Lucille and Robert; and brother-in-law, Fr. Edwin Schenkelberg
Shirley's children were the center of her world. She was a positive, faithful, nurturing, loving, and supportive mother and grandmother. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will be cherished by all who knew her. Shirley was a longtime volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was an Alumnus of St. Joseph, and reminded us, “that life is what you make it.” She will always be remembered for her smile and positive outlook on life.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Ignatius of Antioch, 10205 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111 on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with committal service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
