Shirley Mae Vokaty's Obituary
Shirley Vokaty, age 89, of Olmsted Township, passed away on July 16, 2023.
Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Leonard G. Vokaty, Sr.; devoted mother of Leonard, Jr. (Karen) of Chesterfield, MO, Charles (Jacqueline) of Brunswick Hills, Mary Dautas (Dennis) of Fairview Park, and Christine Becker (Jay) of North Olmsted; loving grandmother of Kristen Thomas (Oliver), Lauren Beckmann (Zach), Patrick Vokaty (Anders) and Kaitlyn Vokaty; Kimberly and Brian Stark (Erica) and Brandon Vokaty; Dan, Kelley Loe (Rob) and Melissa Dautas; and, Jared Becker; great-grandmother of eight; loving daughter of the late Edward and Goldie Wolfel; sister of the late Robert, Paul, and Elizabeth (William).
Shirley also leaves her feline companion, Annie, who she absolutely adored. She enjoyed winning at bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, from 3-6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 21, 2023, at St. Mary of the Falls Catholic Church, 25615 Bagley Road, Olmsted Falls, Ohio 44138, at 10:00 AM, with interment at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, immediately following.
