What a wonderful lady, Sue & Cookie were partners in crime,,laughing together constantly! (Cookie's sister)
Sue and I met in nursing school; we lived on the seventh floor for three years, where we had many good times sharing both good times and the not so good ones. I remeber going to her home in Somerst and meeting her family. After graduation, we went our separate ways, sharing apartments with others. But, after approximately a year or so, we were back together, sharing a house with Sandy Jones and Joyce Loeb, which was great. Vance was a frequent visitor. I think we lived there for about a year and it was a happy time. Sue was a great roomate – easy to get along with and always in a good mood. I don't remember particulars, but all my memories of her are happy ones. I was very saddened to learn of her illness and death; I will miss her very much. Judy Quinn, Class of "61
I met Sue in nursing school and after we graduated I lost track of her. From her pictures I see she had never lost the twinkle in her eyes and her beautiful smile. I will always remember that about her. My deepest sympathy goes to her family. Toby Ackerman Perilman
A Friendship ToastTo your good health, old friend, may you live for a thousand years, and I be there to count them. Robert Smith Syrtees (1803-1864)My dear friend, Sue,we met in nursing school……from then, at age 17 years, we counted each other's birthdays, yours, though, only until the age of 73, rather than a thousand. What a fitting day you took your leave,Thanksgiving,my favorite holiday of the year.I was blessed by your friendshipand thankful for the endless joy you brought to my life, and shall hold you in my heart, always. In peace and love,"MJ" (Mary Jane)
River of SoulMeet my path as it flows to youListingSwayingRollingTributaries wash awaySometimes you float with itSometimes I swellSometimes we bottom outThen the rains fall. Then the skies open upThen the flood washes awayAll the debris of our livesLeavesSticksTrashAnd we find we are whole again. Our hearts and prayers are with the family as , so often, Aunt Sue's has been with us. It is because of people like her; people who share their grace by their care of others in crisis, that we have been able to become whole again. Even on her stroke-clouded days, Mom has often asked about Aunt Sue's well-being. Though she is saddened by the loss of such a good friend, she knows that just means there is one more angel in heaven looking out for us. May the peace Aunt Sue shared with us be extended to those who feel her loss everyday. We hope those sad feelings are soon replaced with the happy memories she has left behind.Venus Eddy Taylor, Pat Halverson Eddy & family

Many good memories of times spent together, we will all miss you ! Howard
Many memories of Sue from Little League to high school sports and boosters to Indians games, lots of laughs, commiseration, and support. I'm so sorry for your loss.
If you met Sue, you never forgot her.I was lucky to meet her in 1958 at Montefiore Hospital nursing school. We were close friends throughout those years. We were room mates when we graduated. As time goes by, jobs, marriages, children and geography lengthens the time between visits. But,Sue's laugh, kindness and empathy never went away.I know she will be missed by her family.Anyone who met her will miss her too.I know that I will.
