Thomas J. Carlin's Obituary
Thomas J. Carlin Jr, 91, of Strongsville, Ohio passed away on December 24, 2021. He was born on March 11, 1930, to the late Thomas J. Sr and Catherine (nee Baldwin) Carlin, both from Ireland. Thomas was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after over 40 years as an ironworker. He had dual citizenship; he was a U.S. citizen by birth and became a citizen of Ireland after retirement. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His hard work, kindness, and generosity to his family, many friends, and all who knew him will never be forgotten. Thomas is reunited with his beloved wife Jeanette K. Carlin of 66 ½ years. He was the loving father of Kathleen (William) Standen and Barbara (Richard) Kunath; cherished grandfather of Erika and Hailey; brother of Kay (John) Schmucki, Peggy (John-deceased) Sperli, and Dianne (Tony) Adinolfi; brother-in-law of Eileen (David) Walker. He is preceded in death by his brother Edward (Marie) Carlin. Thomas was privately laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
