Thomas R. Stephens' Obituary
Thomas R. Stephens “Tommy Shortcut”, 72, Of Olmsted Twp., passed away June 16, 2016.
He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late James and Helen (nee Martin) Stephens. Thomas is the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Grubb); dear father of Bridget (Scott) Jurcisek, Jeanette (Jeffrey) Smart, Annette (Joseph) Divincenzo, and Juliet (Michael) Benco; cherished grandfather of Christopher Jr., Courtney, Eric, Brandon, Mikayla, Lokeloni, Jonathon, Madison, Alexandra, James, Grandon, and Rose (deceased) and great-grandfather of Tyler and Brandon; loving brother of Joan (Louis, deceased) Strauss, Susan (Duane) Johnson, and the late James (Sharon); adored uncle of many.
A US Army Vietnam veteran, Tom was a member of American Legion Post 91 in Berea. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 40 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 1250. Tom was a self-proclaimed storyteller, tour guide, comedian, artist, professional napper, architect, carpenter, painter and friend to many.
Visitation Monday, June 20, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10AM with military honors. dostalbokas.com
