Tibor Lovagi's Obituary
Tibor Lovagi, age 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, in Rocky River, Ohio.
Beloved husband of Ada (nee Arpas)for 67 years; loving father of Margaret (Mark), Etel (Steve), and Suzanne (Ken); dear grandfather of eight; great grandfather of two. Tibor was preceded in death by his father, Elemer, mother, Margit, sister, Olga, and nephew, Tibor.
He was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary and immigrated to Santiago, Chile, in 1949 where he started a family. Later, the family immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1966. He owned his own business and was a watchmaker by trade for over 50 years, until he retired. Whenever Tibor was asked, “How are you feeling?” his favorite response was always, “Still ticking!” said with a smile. He was very involved in the Hungarian community and served on the council of the West Side Hungarian Lutheran Church in Cleveland. He was an avid soccer, basketball, and tennis fan. Tibor enjoyed hiking and spending time outdoors. His outgoing personality will be missed by all who knew him.
A private family service will take place and Tibor will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
