Timothy J. Mahoney's Obituary
Timothy J. Mahoney, 67, of Strongsville (formerly of Columbia Station), passed away on August 19, 2020. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles E. and Elizabeth (nee Duffy) Mahoney on June 26, 1953. Preceded in death by siblings Charles J. Mahoney and Elizabeth Nichols. Tim is survived by his Midpark High School sweetheart and love of his life Nancy (nee Murphy) Mahoney. Tim and Nancy were married for 46 happy years during which they welcomed their children Katie (fiancé Jeff) Mahoney, Andrew Mahoney, and Brandon Mahoney. Additionally, Tim is remembered by his siblings Anne Schlegal, Kathleen Martin, Mary Straka, Loretta Reese, the late Charles Mahoney and the late Elizabeth Nichols; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and four-legged friends.
Tim enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, Cleveland sports, and his family's sporting events. Tim gave back to his community through his work with Habitat for Humanity and was even called ‘Mr. Fix It’ at home where sometimes all that was needed was a little duct tape. Tim owned his own maintenance service company after leaving Republic Steel after 40 years in the Union Local 979. Tim was always a busy and hardworking man, but family meant so much to him. In the days to come, he will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at the Sunset Chapel located 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted 44070 on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 1PM and visitation will follow those service from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Berea Animal Rescue Fund 10015 E. River Rd., Columbia Station, Ohio 44028.
