Versie Sims, 84, was born on June 29, 1939, in Palermo, WV to the late Jackson Lee and Lottie Dollen.
Versie passed away on March 7, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Albert Sims, Jr. Cherished mother of Tamara Sims, Leondria (Greg) Johnston, Kevin (Kim) Sims, and stepmother of Debra (Eric) Gordon. Loving grandmother of Benjamin Sims and Matthew (Megan) Sims. Great-grandmother of Liam Albert Sims and Mackenzie Marie Sims. Dear sister of the late Stella (Rosco) Adkins, the late Oddis (Connie) Dollen, the late Cecil (Kathy) Dollen.
Versie graduated from Duval High School in 1957. She was the partner in The Patio Room Factory in Columbus, Ohio. She worked tirelessly on improvement projects for Lincoln County, WV.
Visitation is Friday, March 15, 2024, from 4-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Service is Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park’s Westwood Abbey Mausoleum, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where the entrance is in the rear of the building.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Albert and Versie on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 11 AM at The Fountain of Life Worship Center, 301 Daniel Boone Parkway, Foster, WV 25081.
