Violet M. Maharidge's Obituary
Violet M. Maharidge, 91, initially of Parma, and recently Hinckley, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on November 11, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late Russell Alan with whom she's been reuinted; devoted to all family, she was mother of Russell Lawrence, Gary (Julie), Nancy Riviotta, Alan (Susan), Lisa Robb (Gary), and Holly Roe; She is survived by 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her canine companion, Maggie. Violet was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Holzmann, Harriette Haller, Jeanette Wiseman, and one brother, John Schultz.
Violet was a graduate of West Tech High School. She managed the kitchen/cafeteria at Padua Franciscan High School for 15+ years and at Baldwin-Wallace College for two years.
Violet was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and had a strong faith in the Lord, and even after She couldn't attend her church, she read a devotion every night before bed. She enjoyed dancing and hosting parties, especially during the Christmas season, her favorite holiday. Other hobbies included road rallies, bowling, and golf. She was also an excellent portrait artist and had a wonderful voice. Violet will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation is 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence at 2 p.m. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
