William Ernest Alborn, Sr.'s Obituary
William Ernest Alborn, Sr. was born on August 13, 1926 to the late Ernest and Anna Marie Alborn.
He enlisted in the Army in 1944 and after basic training, joined the 11th Airborne Division. He subsequently saw action in the Philippine Islands, and later became part of the Occupation Force in Japan. After an Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1946, he graduated from West Technical High School in 1947. He became a Tool and Dye Maker, and worked as a Precision Craftsman in the Automotive Industry.
He married Francine Emillie Spoth (deceased) in 1951, and had a son, William Ernest Alborn, Jr.
William, Sr. was known for his focused work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail. Always calm, always cheerful, William, Sr. was loved and honored by his entire family, including his second wife, Doris (deceased); his daughter, Nancy Sue Alborn (deceased); his grandchildren, Lauren Lockhart and Jeffery (Jen) Alborn; his sisters, Betty Ann (Joe, deceased) Conway and Mary Lou (James, deceased) McDade; and his great-grandchildren, Sagan Lockhart, Ethan Lockhart, Corbin Alborn, and Gwen Alborn.
William passed peacefully on August 8, 2022 with loved ones at his side. William, Sr. was iconic to his family, as he not only stood for Old World values, he lived them. This world is less without him, and we, his survived family members, will honor him by living by the values he taught us. A finer person cannot be found.
Memorial Visitation is Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where the Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 PM.
