William David Grubbs, 86, of Southgate, Michigan passed away on August 31, 2022. He was born to the late James V. and Maxine D. (nee Patton) Grubbs in Cincinnati, Ohio. He proudly served in the United States Airforce. William was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church in Cleveland. Dave was a great story teller and could remember many things he would read about and would share with family and friends with great detail and accuracy. He enjoyed making leaded glass artwork to display at home and give away to many. He worked as a security guard at a automotive company which he liked very much. He made many friends there. The loss of his wife due to illness was a great absence in his life since they had no children. Family members meant a lot to him. William is reunited with his loving wife Dolores A. Grubbs. He will be missed by his brother John (Hillary) Patton Grubbs, friends Charlotte and Richard Sponseller, many family members and other friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2202 from 1:30-2:30 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 PM at the Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
