William F. Hackman's Obituary
Born January 9, 1918, William (Bill) lived a full and happy married life with his wife of almost 79 years, Edna, who survives him. He is also survived by his two sons, William D. (Carol) and John (Cathy). Bill had five grandchildren, Diane, David (Jennifer), Glenn, Karen (Anthony), and John. He also had four great-grandchildren.
Bill was especially proud of his work as a specialist in thread grinding and helping establish Haylo Manufacturing Company in Bedford Heights, OH, with his good friends and associates. His life’s work in this field generated much satisfaction and pride for himself and his family. Bill was equally proud to have attended St. Ignatius Elementary and West Technical High School where he ended up being one of its oldest living alumni.
Bill’s commitment to education and self-improvement is best demonstrated by his determination in attending night school at Fenn College for many years while working a full time-job to obtain a degree
in engineering.
Bill was a member of Christ Church Westshore and resided in North Olmsted for the last twenty seven years.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH, where a Memorial Service will take place at 12 noon, Wednesday, July 13. Luncheon to follow.
