William "Bill" Jones' Obituary
William P. Jones, age 73 of Berea, passed away October 7, 2020. He was the beloved son of the late Frederick and Katherine; the dear brother of Kendra (Peter) Lee, Marian Jones, Ellen (the late Thomas) Solly and Hugh Jones; the cherished uncle of Joseph (Beckie) Kovach, Thomas (Nacole) Lee, Allison Lee and the late Frederick Kovach; great-uncle of Frederick Covel, Isabella Lee, Joseph Kovach Jr. and Violet Lee.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. After he was discharged from the Army, he backpacked through Europe and enjoyed traveling for the rest of his life. He retired from teaching in Oakland and Alameda Counties in CA after 25 plus years and he was a loyal member of the teacher’s union. He also owned and operated is own cab company for many years. He loved his family and he will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 12-2 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted; where the Memorial Service will begin at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
