William C. Lehman's Obituary
William C. â??Billâ? Lehman passed away at Southwest Regional Hospital on September 18, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a devoted son and loving brother. Bill was born May 9, 1949 in Cumberland, Maryland, son of the late Frances (nee DeHaven) and LeRoy Lehman. He moved to Lakewood at age 7 and attended Lakewood Public Schools and the Ohio State University. Following college, Bill served in the United States Army for two years. He was trained as a Military Policeman and was assigned to the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth as a guard. After the military, he moved to Columbia Station where he lived for the rest of his life. He was employed by the Ford Motor Company at the Cleveland Engine Plant for most of his adult life and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Bill was an avid traveler, gardener and fisherman and enjoyed many happy days on Lake Erie. He also enjoyed doting on his four beloved nieces. Bill is survived by his sister Barbara, brother Brian (Kathy), brother Steve (Peachy), nieces Stephanie, Allison, Cheryl (John), and Vicci (Clay). A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted at 12 NOON on October 20, 2012. The service will be followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Make a Wish Foundation, 1422 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44115.
