William A. Solarz's Obituary
William A. Solarz, 77, of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away on July 22, 2021. He was born on February 8, 1944 to the late William Solarz and Helen (nee Bishop) Maxey.
As a child, he attended Sewanee Military Academy and was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and a faithful and active 4th degree Knight of Columbus. William was a member of the American Rose Society and Forest City Rose Society and his meticulous and well-manicured garden was often featured in the Ohio Home and Gardens tour.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Anita R. (nee Havlatko); loving son Matthew Solarz; and cherished grandchildren Kelsey (Connor) Lawrence and William M. Solarz.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 5-8 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted where Reflections and Rosary prayers will be shared at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s of Berea, 250 Kraft St, Berea. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in William's name to the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana, 121 23rd St S, Great Falls, MT 59401.
