William N. Taylor's Obituary
William Neeves Taylor, 78, passed away September 14, 2019. Bill was born May 10, 1941 in Cleveland and recently moved to Elyria from Leesburg, FL to be closer to his family. He retired as Systems Analyst for the Cuyahoga County Engineers Office and was a full time projectionist for the National Movie Theater. Living in North Olmsted for 25 years, Bill loved and supported his family along with his beloved wife June Ann; who preceded him in death December 26, 1992. A serious man and hard worker, Bill found relaxation in fishing, shooting, playing the organ, and riding his motorcycle. He belonged to numerous organizations, including The Woods and Waters Club of Cleveland, The North Olmsted Sportsman’s Club, The National Organist Society, The Optimist’s Club, and The South Shore Radio Club. He was also a long time member of the National Rifleman’s Association. Bill’s favorite place to spend time was at the family cabin in Michigan at Slagle Trout Club, where he taught his family how to shoot, camp, and fly-fish.Bill is survived by sons, William and Roger; grandchildren, Lauren, Arlene, Sylvia, Nichole, Rachel, Icis, Kiele, Xander, William, and Michael; brother, Christopher “Kit”; sisters, Jackie and Gail. In addition to his wife, June Ann; he is preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Lynn Lignos; and parents, William Frederick and Elizabeth Taylor. Friends will be received Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 3:00 pm until the time of a 4:00 pm memorial service at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 300 Third Street, Elyria. Reverend June Hardy Dorsey will officiate. Interment at SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK, North Olmsted on Wednesday, October 2nd at 2:00 PM.
