Willie Moore Jr., age 85, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on April 12, 2026, at the VA hospital. He was born on March 16, 1941, to Willie Moore and Violet Mills.
Willie proudly served in the United States Army from September 8, 1960, to September 7, 1966, where he earned a Sharpshooter decoration. He was a dedicated family man who found joy in hard work and instilled the values of dedication and perseverance in his children.
An avid fisherman, Willie cherished spending time on the water with his family, teaching them the principles of fishing and the importance of bonding through shared experiences. He created countless memories during weekly fishing trips, bringing joy and laughter to those he loved.
Willie is survived by his beloved wife, Cassanda Diane Moore, and his seven children. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts.
He is also survived by his three sisters: Alice Farris, Vernell Lee Mitchell-Monday, and Marie Humphrey, who predeceased him. Willie shared a deep bond with his siblings, and their rekindled relationship brought him immense joy in later years.
Willie was a loving man whose passion and warmth will be remembered by all who knew him. His family and friends will forever treasure the love and lessons he imparted.
